Strawberry milkshake

Milkshakes using fresh low-fat ingredients make for a speedy breakfast or a satisfying afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Fresh strawberries

½ cup(s), hulled, chopped

Skim milk

½ cup(s), (125ml)

Plain, sweetened, 99% fat-free yoghurt

200 g

Wheat germ

1½ g, (1 tsp)

Fresh mint

1 tsp, to garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries, milk, yoghurt and wheat germ in a blender until thick and creamy. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a mint leaf. Serve at once.

Notes

Vary the fruit and low-fat frozen yoghurt to “shake up” your taste buds.
