Chopped Salad

If you’ve ever been to Ruth’s Chris Steak House, you know that their sides are just about as good as their steak. Their chopped salad is one of those dishes that you think about long after the meal is over. It’s a little bit over the top — packed with a ton of interesting ingredients and textures, tossed in a creamy, herb-forward basil dressing, and presented in that iconic molded tower that makes it feel like a very special event. The good news is that you don’t need a reservation or a steakhouse price tag to enjoy it! This copycat version nails all the flavors and textures of the original and comes together in just 15 minutes in your own kitchen. Date night at home just got a serious upgrade, and you can totally skip that fussy ring mold part.

For the Salad

  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 4 slices center-cut turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small radicchio, finely chopped
  • ½ cup green olives, sliced
  • 1 cup hearts of palm, chopped

  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup seasoned whole-wheat croutons

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, light sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped basil until smooth.
  2. In a large serving bowl, combine the iceberg lettuce, romaine, turkey bacon, radicchio, olives, hearts of palm, mushrooms, eggs, red onion, feta cheese, and croutons.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving and toss until everything is evenly coated.

Tips:

  • For even fewer WW Points, omit the croutons or replace them with roasted chickpeas.
  • Add grilled chicken breast for extra protein with minimal additional WW Points.
  • Chill the salad for 15–20 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
