What you’ll love about this recipe

  • Lots of rib recipes require special rubs, various sauces, and continuous attention while cooking. These can be very effective techniques but they usually take more time than most people have.
  • This one is simple.
  • The slow cooker does the heavy lifting. Add the ingredients and walk away, letting low heat do its thing and turn the ribs to tender perfection.
  • The second benefit is consistency. The slow cooker creates a controlled cooking environment that helps the meat hold moisture and develop rich flavor.
  • Even an amateur cook can turn out great results with little effort.

  6. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  7. Carefully transfer the ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the ribs with the remaining sauce.
  9. Broil on HIGH for 2–4 minutes, watching closely, until the glaze is sticky and lightly caramelized.
  10. Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.

💡 Low-Point Tip

Using sugar-free BBQ sauce, trimming the ribs well, and replacing regular brown sugar with a sugar substitute helps keep these ribs much lower in points while still giving you that delicious sticky, sweet-and-smoky glaze.
