Krispie Cheddar Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper, plus more to sprinkle
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and shredded cheddar cheese until you have a smooth mixture.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Mix slowly until everything is combined, using your hands for the best results as you work the dough.
  4. Fold in the Rice Krispie cereal, mixing until it is evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Take large teaspoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and gently flatten each one with a fork. Hold the cracker down carefully as you lift the fork and sprinkle a bit more cayenne pepper on top for extra flavor.
  6. Bake the crackers for 13-15 minutes or until they turn golden and crispy. Once done, let them cool and store in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
