SCOTTISH TABLET

There are some sweets that instantly transport you to a certain place, a certain memory, a certain feeling — and Scottish Tablet is absolutely one of them. The first time I tasted it, it was wrapped in a little square of wax paper, slightly crumbly at the edges, and so creamy it practically melted before I even finished chewing. It tasted like caramel, vanilla, and warm butter all rolled into one — simple, comforting, and completely unforgettable.

Tablet isn’t just candy. It’s tradition. It’s what you find on kitchen counters during holidays, at church bake sales, tucked into tins for neighbors, and served with tea on rainy afternoons. It’s the kind of treat that gets passed down through generations, scribbled on recipe cards and whispered about in kitchens, with everyone swearing theirs is the best.

This easy Scottish tablet recipe brings that same nostalgic magic into your home. With just a handful of pantry staples, you can create a buttery, creamy confection that feels fancy, indulgent, and incredibly comforting — yet surprisingly simple to make.

Whether you’re making it for dinner guests, holidays, or cozy weekends, this tablet delivers pure old-fashioned sweetness with every bite.
