Old-Fashioned Hamburger Steak Potato Bake

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thin
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess fat.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the sliced onions, then the browned beef.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and onions.
- In a bowl, mix the beef broth with the onion soup mix, then pour it over the layered ingredients.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
