Oven Baked Pork Chops

This Parmesan Baked Pork Chops is so good, So moist and tender and the flavors were amazing!

I used to make these for my husband and there easy peasy and tasty ????

These were the best pork chops I have eaten in a long time.


Should you cover pork chops when baking in oven?

You want to cook your chops uncovered for the duration of your cook time. Cooking them uncovered will get you a great crust, crispy chops and a flavorful dish overall.


Do you have to put water in the pan when baking pork chops?

If you want to steam your chops and you want to make sure that they stay very moist, you can add water to the pan to help keep them moist and to ensure that they are not going to dry out. You do not have to put water in the pan when you bake pork chops, however. You can add tons of flavor and you can add things like broth and basting juices to keep them moist.


How to serve Oven Baked Pork Chops?

These are a great main dish and can be served with applesauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and all the fixings.


Weight Watchers Crispy Parmesan Pork Chops


Ingredients

  • 4 lean boneless pork chops (trimmed of visible fat)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly coat a baking sheet or wire rack with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry and brush both sides lightly with the olive oil.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, whole wheat panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.
  4. Press each pork chop into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Arrange the coated pork chops on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden and the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Let the pork rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Weight Watchers Estimate: Approximately 5–6 Points per serving, depending on the size of the pork chops and the brands of Parmesan and breadcrumbs used.
