In order to make this delicious recipe, you’ll need to make sure you have the following ingredients on hand. 

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 1 package sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp xanthan gum
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 packages shiritaki fettuccine noodles (or other noodle substitute of choice)

After you have all of these ingredients, you’re ready to start cooking!


  1. Using a 10″ cast iron skillet or another large skillet, brown beef over medium heat, using a meat chopper to break the beef into smaller chunks
  2. Remove browned beef from the skillet with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels; leave all extra beef fat in the skillet
  3. Add and saute the mushrooms, minced garlic, and minced onion to the skillet
  4. Combine the beef broth, heavy cream, salt, and pepper
  5. Sprinkle the xanthan gum into the mixture while stirring
  6. Simmer for 5 – 10 minutes, or until sauce reaches desired level of thickness
  7. Remove from heat and serve over shirataki fettuccine noodles
